Shaddy Shihusa - Head of Programming

Shadrack Shihusa Makamu, popularly known as Captain Shaddy Shihusa, is a Kenyan entertainer, cultural ambassador, and media founder who grew up in Kaloleni Estate in Nakuru City. From an early age, the sounds of music and local culture influenced his world. He went to school in Nakuru and graduated in 2018 with a Diploma in Human Resources. While his studies gave him structure, his heart was already set on the entertainment industry, leading to an unconventional career path.

Instead of going through formal media school, Shaddy learned broadcasting during a short, three-month training program under veteran radio presenter Omondi Job Onyango of Milele FM. His natural talent and quick learning stood out immediately, earning him the nickname "Daktari bila degree" (the doctor without a degree). This passion was already clear during high school, when he started the band Tha Harmonic Kings, performing with them until the group split up in late 2022.

On January 10, 2023, Shaddy launched the Rhumba Overdose Show on TikTok. What began as a small online broadcast quickly grew popular, and by 2024, it expanded into a full radio station called Jabulani Radio. Today, he is the founder of the Rhumba Overdose brand, co-founder and Head of Programmes at Jabulani Radio, and the creator of the Tembea Africa Series, a program focused on preserving original African history. Running his business from Kaloleni to the world, Shaddy works as an MC, event host, and cultural ambassador, showing how far focus and drive can take a dream.
