Lambert Kabako was a standout Congolese rumba singer and songwriter from Brazzaville, best remembered as a core vocalist for the legendary Les Bantous de la Capitale. After launching his career in 1969 with Autopsie Mélodia and joining Les Bantous in 1972, he earned widespread fame across Central Africa with his 1982 hit single "Osala ngai nini." Before passing away at age 70, Kabako capped off his decades in music by releasing "Walaï," a solo collection of classic rumba and soukous tracks he composed over his long career.
